When God made the world, he established a pattern for all of life. God worked for six days creating the heavens, the earth and all that is in them, and then he rested the seventh day. In the same manner, we work and serve God throughout every week, seeking to do all things “to the glory of God.” Then we gather together as a church family to rest in the fact that Jesus worked for us. He lived, died and rose again from the dead to purchase our salvation. When we gather for worship, we remember God’s work of creation and redemption and we give thanks for Jesus’ victory over sin and death. Finally, we rejoice in the future promises of God and we look forward to the restoration of all things in Glory where “death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore.”
God has called out and redeemed the church (a group of people) to worship him by gathering together to hear the Scriptures read and preached, to pray, to sing praise, and to participate in the sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.
Worship begins at 9:30am.
The nursery is located off the main lobby in the children’s area. Nursery care is available during the entire service for infants through age 3.
During the offering and before the sermon, children age 3 through grade 3 may be dismissed for a time of biblical teaching, which is targeted for their age-level. They will be met by a children’s worker when they exit through the sanctuary doors at the back. The children will return following the sermon.
