Dustin remains in a medically induced coma, the goal of which is to help his body focus its attention on healing his brain. The doctors are planning on using this sedation medication for another 36 hours or so, periodically taking Dustin off of it to test his reactions, etc. Most recently, when tested, Dustin did show some positive signs … his reactions were of a higher order than they have been to date. His brain pressure has been a little lower, as well.

Tuesday will be a significant day, as the sedation medication will have run its course. At that point, doctors will better be able to say what the future may look like.

Pray:

  • the swelling in Dustin’s brain to decrease
  • his reactions (brain activity) to increase — even small incremental increases are good signs
  • Leigh Anne’s emotional & physical endurance
  • give thanks for all the support Leigh Anne & the family are receiving

We heard of Dustin’s injury. We worshipped together at Fort Worth PCA many years and our children went to school together and played sports together. We are deeping sadden with this news. Please let Leigh Ann and the children know that Robert, Courtney, Robert, and CJ love them and are praying for healing, comfort, and peace for their entire family. Praying for the doctors, nurses, and medical staff, may the Lord guide them and lead them in their knowledge for the care of our brother in Christ. Also, if we can be of service to the family, please let us know; perhaps we could send cards and/or care packages; we do need an address to their home or the hospital. Thank you.

    In His Rest,
    Robert and Courtney Cleveland
