To all that are praying and loving Dustin,

I am a friend of a friend of Dustin's but one that knows the pain you are all going through. My dear friend (and best man at my wedding this August) suffered a traumatic brain injury on September 30th. So we are only about 6 weeks ahead of you in this process. All I can say to you is that God can and will work miracles. Please know that we are praying for you here in Marietta, GA as we continue to pray for our friend Brian Hatton.

Reading this blog is almost like reliving the last 7 1/2 weeks. Brian's condition is almost identical to Dustin's. Brian did finally open his eyes 13 days after the accident. However, last week he suffered respiratory failure and is now back in ICU with his brain swollen again. He also has pneumonia and a blood infection. So we have had a tough week. However, God is using this to teach us so many things. Patience, love, understanding and most importantly, faith.

To Leigh Anne, I know that you are hurting and that you are scared. But Dustin can hear you and needs you to tell him over and over again how much he is loved. He is a lucky man to have such a caring family.

And to all of you that are with Leigh Anne and her family - please be ready for the long journey. Many will get tired and fall away but the true friends will stay throughout.

If you would like to also pray for Brian Hatton and his family, we would love that. We can never get enough prayers!!

Stay strong and know that God is bigger than all of this.
