Back in Texas … partly
Leigh Anne and the kids left South Carolina today and have landed safely in Texas — with a whole welcome party there to receive them, of course.
- Thank God for their safe arrival in Fort Worth.
- Pray for Dustin’s transport tomorrow (the 31st).
- Pray for a happy reunion tomorrow evening.
- Pray for the Salter’s transition back into Fort Worth.
Concerning Dustin, the plan at this point (since insurance has denied Kindred) is for him to be taken to the Plaza, a skilled-nursing facility, upon his arrival in Fort Worth tomorrow.
Trusting the two perfect hands of our Father …

Glad you are there safely! I’m sorry about the insurance- we will continue to pray about that issue. If you get an email address where I can write the boys, just let me know (smaves@bellsouth.net) or a street address to send the stuff from the church to you in February. Tell those boys that I won’t stop praying just because they’re in Texas and give them a hug!! God’s peace to you.

While I’m sad to see you guys leave the area I’m joyful that you are back at the place you have called home for so long. I hope to see you all soon. Stay safe and give everyone a BIG hug for me.

Dear Leigh Anne,
Sorry that you couldn’t get ins. coverage for Kindred, but he’ll at least be in a facitility that can care for him. I know I’ll be keeping him in prayer that he’ll get coverage for the facility that’s right for him.
But at least you’re home in Ft. Worth where you have family and friends. But you’d have God’s family and so many friends had it been best for you to stay in South Carolina.
Now, for heavens sake, get yourself into a nice bubble bath with some bon-bons and escapist literature, whether tabloids, gossip mags, or Harlequin romances and Just. Zone. Out. Nobody’s more deserving than you!
Love, Fran

Leigh-Ann,
You probably don’t know or at least remember me, but Mr. Salter was my history teacher in Birmingham, Alabama at Cathedral Christian. I loved his class and him as a person! He was so real and sweet. I was so sad to hear of what happened. Matthew Ford has been keeping me informed and I have also been keeping up on the website. Me father is a Pastor in Missouri. He was out here in Texas before he took a church on Missouri. I have told him about your situation and he keeps up with the website as well. He has put you guys on their church prayer list and so have we! We have lived out here in Texas( just an hour from Dallas and Fort Worth) for almost 5 years, my husband and I with our 2 boys. We will be praying for you guys everyday! I hope to come visit Mr. Salter when he is able to have visitors. Let me know if you can. Take care of yourself and those kids! Just remember that our God is a GREAT BIG GOD! Mr. Salter is going to recover from this and have such a testimony to tell! Stay strong and be blessed!
