Dustin was moved to an ICU last night (sorry, I didn’t get the hospital) because of a touch of pneumonia, an accelerated heart rate and a decreased Oxygen level. While this is not so great medically, Leigh Anne is excited that her husband is receiving more and better care. There are simply more resources available in a hospital context than there are in a nursery home facility. Since this was a medically necessary move, insurance is covering this stay in ICU.
Do pray that this pneumonia would soon pass and that Dustin’s body would regulate itself well. One note: since Dustin was originally admitted on Nov 8, he has lost 40 lbs. He now weighs 160 lbs.
Keep praying and know, that no matter the content or the intent of our prayers, they all go through Jesus, who knows exactly what we need.

Thank God, pneumonia’s no longer a death sentence. Wish I were there to visit and pray directly. Take heart that this is being read the world over, and there’ll be plenty of prayers–the world over.
Love, Fran

Our church is planning on making Leigh Anne a Valentine tomorrow night.
None of us knows the family, but we hope she will feel that she and her family
are being prayed for.

Leigh Anne & family. We continue to pray for Dustin and for your continued strength & preseverance. My brother in law, Charley Blackwood, had a similar setback w/pneumonia last week, so we understand what you are going through. I still pray that God would open a door for Dustin into Kindred - their care has been really amazing. God’s Providence is at work, though, we wait for his sure provision for Dustin and your family.

Leigh Anne, I am praying for you in South Carolina, I pray that Dustin will be sent to a rehab hospital, my husband has a tramatic brain injury, the Dr.s told me he would never be able to do anything for himself, but by the grace of God, he is a miracle, tonight we ate at our favorite seafood restaurant he ate fried Shrimp, feeding himself. God is in control and still preforming miracles. If you every have time please read my livejournal, I am posting the story of my husbands injury. Hopefully to help someone else that is going through the same things that I have been through with my husband. Elaine Granger
