Dustin remains in critical condition in the ICU of Harris Downtown. Leigh Anne has been meeting daily with Dustin’s neurologist. He went over Dustin’s MRI with Leigh Anne yesterday. They showed substantial damage. The situation remains quite dire. Leigh Anne is meeting with Dustin’s critical care doctor today to discuss future treatment options, especially related to the dysautonomia. It is unclear at this point if this condition is degenerative or not. Continue to pray for mercy and that the will of our loving Father would be compassionately worked out in the lives of the Salters, for that is his character and promise.
The LORD is merciful and gracious; he is slow to get angry and full of unfailing love. His unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he understands how weak we are; he knows we are only dust. The love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant. Praise the LORD.

“To Thee, O Lord, I call;
My rock, do not be deaf to me,
Lest, if Thou be silent to me,
I become like those who go down to the pit.
Hear the supplications when I cry to Thee for help,
When I lift up my hands toward Thy holy sanctuary.
Do not drag me away with the wicked
And with those who work iniquity;
Who speak peace with their neighbors,
While evil is in their hearts.
Requite them according to their work and according to the evil of their practices:
Requite them according to the deeds of their hands;
Repay them their recompense.
Because they do not regard the works of the Lord
Nor the deeds of His hands,
He will tear them down and not build them up.
Blessed by the Lord,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplication.
The Lord is my strenth and my shield;
My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart exults,
And with my song I shall thank Him.
The Lord is their strength,
And He is a saving defense to His anointed.
Save Thy people, and bless Thine inheritance;
Be their shepherd also, and carry them forever.”
Psalm 28
And doesn’t it always come down to this…..”even though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”
We are all holding up your arms, Leigh Anne

I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me up out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet upon the rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
Psalm 40:1-2
He is our rock, and He holds you close right now. Much love to you.

We’re continuing to petition the Father to heal Dustin. We’re also praying for your strength, Leigh Anne, and for peace for your family. We won’t cease praying.
Grace and Peace to you,

Psalm 27
Of David.
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh, [a]
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4 One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his [b] face!”
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.

He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust; his truth shall be thy shield and buckler
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastheth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my frefuge, even the most High, thy habitation.
There shall be no eveil befall thee, neither shall any plague come night thy dewelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over the,, to keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou tranmple under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
He shall call upon me and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
Ps. 91.
Says it all.
Love,
Fran

Dear Leigh Anne,
There is nothing that God can’t do - no illness that He can’t heal - and no heart that He can’t fix.
I just pray that it is in God’s will that Dustin be healed. We are going on 6 months now with Brian and it never gets any easier. And the doctors always seem to be the most negative. But just remember that the doctors are not God, and scans are just pictures. God is bigger than all of that.
I know that I can’t say anything to give you peace — but God can. I know that you are close to Him right now and we are close to you in spirit.
I hope that you can feel all our love and His love surrounding you during this time of heartache.
I love you,
Jamie Corona

Leigh Anne,
Just wanted you to know that you have people that are still praying here in Chesapeake, VA. God is a mighty big God. There is NOTHING that is too big for Him. He is holding you Dustin and the children in His hand and He will be watching over you and giving you peace and understanding beyound what any of us can understand. He is giving you the grace. I knd of you what you are going through at this time. Just a couple years ago I almost lost my husband when we were on a family vacation nine hours from home. I was where there was no one I knew and to feel the hands of the Lord during that time was just awsome. That is when I learned to DEPEND WHOLELY ON THE LORD!
Leigh Anne you and Dustin and the children are held up daily and bathed in prayer. Good things will come from this painful but learning time in the Hands of God.
Blessing are being sent your way! Love your family!

Dear Leigh Anne,
I’m not sure how often you get time to read these comments but my prayer is that you will get to read this before Thursday. My selfish heart’s desire is to call you so I can just hear your voice and to tell you I love you and I’m praying for you and to listen to you talk about whatever you need to talk about, but I know that your hours and minutes are precious and I wouldn’t dare take time away from your family. So, in this note, know that you are loved, thought about constantly, and most importantly lifted up to the Lord continually.
I want you to know that I talked to Vickey and Beth last night and my heart is heavy for you and I desire to just wrap my arms around you and love on you. I am so thankful you have a strong support family all around you. Allow them to continue loving on you. Leigh Anne, you are the most courageous woman I know and I greatly admire you and your steadfast walk with the Lord. You have Praised Him in the Storm and have been a strong witness to thousands around you.
Know that all the Salters are in our prayers and are greatly loved. We continue to ask God to do mighty things for you and Dustin and the kids. I love you my friend!!
Love,
Kim

Aunt Leigh Anne,
It has been awhile since we last saw each other or even spoken to each other. You, Dustin, and the children have always been on my mind; much more now since Dustins accident. I ask Paige and David how you all are doing every day. My prayers are with you every day that passes. Know that if you ever need me for anything all you have to do is ask. I send each of you all my love. I LOVE YOU LEIGH-LEIGH!

I am a memeber of the permant PCA Committe of the PCA, and we met this week and had a long discussion concerning Dustin and Leigh Anne. Be assured that there are a vast number of people who have never met Dustin or Leigh Anne who are praying, and the Committee was very impressed with the support from Redeemer, Ken Mc Carty and the other helping the Salter family. Any of us would be truly blessed to have such loving supportive people. The Lord is gracious, and all things do work for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose, but we may never understand how this side of glory.
